This Qing Dynasty statue represents the wise Tsong Khapa (1357-1419) in the typical attitude of the Buddha. Sitting cross-legged; he holds his hands together by the circles that form thumb and forefinger between them, i.e. in the teaching pose (dharmacakra mudra). The most eminent personality of the Lamaic world.
